Rivertrees’ prime location has a great deal in its favour: for starters, it is a great base for exploring Northern Tanzania’s wealth of national parks and natural wonders. Its proximity to Arusha’s two airports and its position on the region’s main road means that it is perfectly situated to access a plethora of exciting activities and stunning spots.

Just 40 minutes in one direction from Kilimanjaro International Airport, and 45 minutes to Arusha Airport in the other direction means that Rivertrees is a great spot to pause before embarking on – and returning from – the adventure of a lifetime.

All these advantages aside, the inn is a charming destination in its own right. With all the necessary ingredients for a relaxing retreat from the world, or an exploratory extravaganza of culture, nature and wildlife, there is something to cater to the poolside sunbather and the mountain climber alike.

For those driving, we are located in Usa River just off the Arusha-Moshi main road, approximately 20km from Arusha, 25km from KIA, or 60km from Moshi.

Look out on the road’s southern side for Rivertrees’ signboard and entrance arch. Pass Rivergardens on your right, and continue 300 meters further down the dirt road to the lodge’s gate.

Airport Transfers

We would be delighted to arrange your airport pick-up or drop-off. We offer one-way transfers to/from Kilimanjaro International Airport at $60 per vehicle, and to/from Arusha Airport at $85 per vehicle.
