Each well-appointed cottage at Rivertrees is individually styled and tastefully furnished, making it the ideal choice for travellers looking for peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of city hotels. The open grounds and winding paths create a serene setting for resting, relaxation and extended stays, with possibilities for massage treatments, lounging by the swimming pool, river walks, bird watching, and of course gourmet meals in our renowned restaurant. While staying with us guests can expect personal attention as well as discretion and privacy.
Rivertrees had its humble beginnings as a delightful B&B, decorated with cherished family antiques and portraits of a bygone era in the old farm house – a charming setting where guests would enjoy the vistas from the spacious veranda, or curl up in front of the fireplace in the cool evenings. Today, the refurbished Farm House can accommodate up to ten people in four en-suite rooms, each with its own entrance as well as an access to the common living rooms – perfect for groups or families sharing their holiday.
Who hears the rippling of rivers will not despair in anything.

Cocooned in thickets of vegetation, our classically furnished Garden Rooms open out across the expansive grounds. Each is unique in its décor, and several of the rooms are adjoined, making it effortless for friends and family to enjoy their stay together. Our reservations team takes pride in allocating rooms with a high level of care, and attention to the needs of each individual guest.
Our two spacious River Cottages blend privacy with charm. Situated along the water and under a forested canopy, the natural element is enriched by an outdoor rain shower, river deck, and wood-burning fireplace.
For the discerning guest who values absolute privacy and luxury, the River House offers a thatched hideaway with two double bedrooms, a stunning living room and a wrap-around veranda. Perched on the riverbank, this exclusive and elegant accommodation is sheltered by the overarching branches of an ancient fig.
